  Taking care of your eyes

Planning time for the gym, the spa or even the beauty salon allows you to take car of yourself to stay healthy but also to avoid premature diseases related to aging. However, don’t forget that eye health is just as important and we too often forget to find think about preserving optimal vision.


One of the easiest way to support eye health is to take a large amount of antioxidants. In fact, your eyes need specific nutrients to stay healthy and that is the case for antioxidants. Whether you obtain them through your diet with berries (blueberry is the great champion!), fruits and veggies that have dark color like beets, swiss chard, carrots, pommegrenade, raspberries or by adding supplements to your diet, the most important is to get these antioxidants on a daily basis. Ginkgo biloba :

This ancient plant originally from Asia increases blood circulation in the eyes. Ginkgo would help improving distal visual acuity (the capacity to see details on distant object) with people affected with macular degeneration. Ginkgo biloba is also well known for its antioxidant action.


Besides these supplements, Omega-3s have also an important place in the prevention of ocular problems. Make sure you are getting 2 to 3 portion of fish rich in Omega-3 per week or opt for the supplement Omega-3 Extra Strength.
